Kali, I vaguely remember Shawn Johnson from the Olympics. What year was the Beijing Olympics? How did she do? From what I remember, she competed in a few events and won several medals. Is she the gymnast that was injured but went on to win a medal despite her injury? I’d love to hear more about her either as a reply to my comment or by adding the information to this post. Mrs. A.
The Beijing Olympics was in the summer of 2008. She did very well. She competed in all four events. She did not get hurt and and then win a medal despite her injury, however she did win four medals. One gold and three silver. She won the gold medal for balance beam and she won the three silver medals for Individual All-Around, Floor and the U.S. Team. Thanks for the comment!
